HEALTH PROMOTION AND OTHER CLINICS

In addition to normal surgery, we are able to provide the following specialised services at the Eryl Surgery. These are run by a combination of nurses, doctors and health visitors.

Child Health	Monday pm
Diabetic	Tuesday pm
COPD Clinic	Arranged as required
Coronary Heart Disease Clinic	Arranged as required
Asthma	Thursday pm
Well Person	Arranged as required
Well Woman	Arranged as required
Clinics are held at the branch surgeries as well. Please contact the receptionist for further details.
Antenatal	Wednesday pm
Family Planning	During normal surgery
Smear Tests	Tuesday and Wednesday pm
Epilepsy	Arranged as required
Travel Vaccinations	Friday pm
Warts, Verrucas, Skin Tags	Arranged as required

The practice nurses see patients for consultations, routine treatments, blood tests, BP checks, ECGs, dressings and foreign travel immunisations and advice.

Midwives
A team of midwives support the doctors in providing antenatal care. This is a comprehensive community maternity service, antenatal and postnatal.

District Nurses
A team led by a senior sister, employed by the Health Board, provide nursing support at home. They can be contacted on 791172.

Health Visitors
The health visitors, also employed by the Health Board, provide child health care, health promotion and child protection via home or school visits. They can be contacted on 791173.

Social Worker
When patients need extra assistance at home due to health circumstances the GP will refer the patient to social workers as necessary.
